In December Pantone released their Colour of the year (for the following year). With the announcement of 2019’s colour of the year - Living Coral, I just couldn’t be more excited! I love it!

'An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge' - Pantone

In the past, Pantone has been and still are the big boys in all aspects of colour design and colour trends, the launch of a new focus colour for the year inspires and influences all industries seeing it popping up on your screens from marketing and branding to furniture and interiors.

Interiors that are doing it right

As you know we love interiors so we have picked out 5 of our favourite interiors that are ahead of the game and already bringing in Living Coral to their homes and spaces.

How will you use the colour of the year?

Using colour in your home can range from going bold or adding hints to a blank canvas to change the look and feel or space without 'going wild'. For me,  I can get lost on Pinterest for a couple of hours and then realise that I have gone from looking at how others use hints of colour, just to change the feel of a room to searching for paint colours to paint the whole room that colour. Trust me I've been there.

I have split this into three categories from covering walls to hints across the home.

'PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral emits the desired, familiar, and energizing aspects of colour found in nature. In its glorious, yet unfortunately more elusive display beneath the sea, this vivifying and effervescent colour mesmerizes the eye and mind. Lying at the centre of our naturally vivid and chromatic ecosystem, PANTONE Living Coral is evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of colour.'
